Sam Hornish - Indy 500 - 4/1 - 5ps win Sporting Odds.

The greatest motor race takes place tomorrow and it is a long way from Monaco! It is the Indy 500 and there is an outstanding bet. The polesitter and best driver (with the strongest team) should be a clear favourite.

The onbly potential danger are is tem mate Castroneves and Dan Wheldon. However, I expect this to be Hornish's year.

Hornish is even better value at both Bluesquare and Sportsinteraction at 9/2
Personally I think Kanaan @ 10s has an excellent claim and don't rule out Franchitti for an e/w claim: an incredible 20s at WillHill who are paying 1/4 odds for first 4 - granted both drivers have been slightly off the pace during the month long test but they do have proven race strategists working with them.....
good luck

great tip Chris, by all accounts it sounds like it was an incredible race.

out of interest do you ever trade the indy races in running?

don't have a clue about the sport but was watching on betfair and there was some crazy price swings (even before the excitement on the last lap). shame there wasn't much liquidity

I've never looked at the inrunning betting on Betfair (I suspect that they only do it on the Indy 500, rather than the other Indy races).

However, a couple of times I've seen 'in running' at Stan James and been suprised at the prices.

The key is that things change quickly with safety cars, tyre changes etc.... many more changes than F1.

I suspect that markets overeact...
