Two Premiership players of the same team to be sent off for fighting in 2009 - 25/1 - 1 pt

The last time two Premiership players of the same team were sent off for fighting was in 2005 (Dyer/Boyer for Newcstle).

Before that, Le Saux/Batty had a (onfield) fight in 1995 in Moscow while playing for Blackburn - if this happened in the Premier League, both players would have been red carded. To me, this looks like an approx 10/1 chance. I tried to have 2pts with Will Hill at 25/1 but they restricted me to 1 pt.

N.B. Both Coral and Hills now have there '2009 Specials' online - if anyone and see any value bets, please post in the comments. Thanks.

Not Coral or Hills, but isn't 50/1 on Prince William becoming king in 2009, at Skybet, quite tasty? Rather bad taste, I suppose, but essentially it's a bet on the Queen either abdicating or dying, and, well, she is 82... She seems to be in excellent health, but I wonder how many actuaries would give 50/1 on an octogenarian lasting the next year?

It would be a good price for Prince Charles.....

Hills go 2/7 Blur to headline Glastonbury but to win it say's underneath "Must headline The Pyamid Stage on Sunday Night" I have no doubt Blur will headline Glasto but Saturday night is the big night, big value to be had in the book.

Hi Mr T.
I think anon has a point with the Glasto betting. Headline act is Sat night (was Jay Z this year) and not Sun (The Verve). Blur have not confirmed so are too short anyway.
I think Chris Moyles to be sacked is quite good at 8-1. He's been doing the breakfast show for 5yrs now, he often sails close to the wind, and will not 'step down' if asked to.
Also, have Hills got the 'How many of the Strictly Come Dancing judges will be sacked? - 2009 Specials' odds the wrong way round? Two is showing as 7/2 and One as 6/1, therefore 6/1 is a good bet.

Any thoughts on 8/1 about a Premier League club going into administration in 2009 at Paddy Power? One could argue they fall into the 'too big to fail' category. However, many clubs have huge borrowings (100%+ gearing), their owners may be struggling financially (west ham + newcastle) and ticket and merchandising sales look sure to take a big fall. Any thoughts much appreicated.

Obviously they're not going to drop him but he may stand down as captain.

Makes Hill's 12/1 for Pietersen not to be captain for the first test a reasonable price

RE: who will be on the Pyramid on Sunday night, I agree this is clearly not the most important night. That means there is likley to be value in backing other bands... but which ione? The best bet woudl be if you could lay Blur for Sunday at 2/7!

I think that the reason 2 judges to be sacked is probably favourite is 2 of the judges work in the US. The thinking is probably that these 2 will resign and take part in just the US version.

I agree that some Premiership clubs on in a dire finaclial situation, however I would expect that it woudl be much better financially to sell a Premiership club rather than put it in administrtaion. I belive administration would mean a signficant points deduction making releagation much more likely, reducing the value of the club.

I agree but who's buying? Ashley's attempted sale of Newcastle seemed to test the market for distressed clubs without much success.
