Ebony Light - Peter Marsh/2.10 Haydock

With doubts about a signficnat no. of the partcipants, I am backing E/W Ebony Light.

He has quite a bit to find on raw form (a long way in the 'Long Handicap'), but I have seen worse bets.... I'm having 1 pt E/W @ 40-1.

Good winner there Chris - well done.
Don't think we can complian about Royal Shakespeare's haul either considering the horse's preference for good ground.

Yes, very happy with the 8 pts. for Royal Shakespeare, I see it's price hasn't chnaged, still 5-1 (bit surprised).

The praise for Ebony Light should really to to Rob who explained why it had a good E/W chance and convinced me!

ryahcBeen cut now I see. 5/2 with the Tote and 7/2 Stan James.
Very much doubt we will see an entry in next week's 3 mile Cleeve Hurdle but the trainer may put one in just in case it looks like being a small field (which I doubt). Didn't run badly over 4 furlongs less at Windsor earlier in the season so not perhaps out of the question.
Next race would more likely be on 18th Feb at Wincanton. Better ground then no doubt & potential for another 8pts plus.
