Barrichello - F1 Championship 2009 16-1 - 10pts

I've been unable to get anyone to take my request for 40-1 at Betfair for Barrichello so I have had 10 pts at 16-1 with William Hill. This is a fair price (and nothing more) but I am keen to get a balanced book on the 2009 F1 chammpionship. Bizzarely, my worst result is now Button! (but not by much)

I have attached an image of my bets on F1 Championship... I'm pretty pleased how things have gone - it looks like I've timed my investments in F1 quite well this year!

Superb. I've been following these all season. Unfortunately, I don't put ~£25/point as you do! I also wasn't fast enough to get the huge odds at the start of the season when the prices started to collapse. Good stuff though - will you be investing the profits, using the profits for future bets, buying something nice or a combination of the above? (Or none of my business!)

I bought a house last Dec 08 (now that was a 'contrarian' gamble, just like my betting). I'm using the profits mainly to reduce my (offset) mortgages. This mortgage product work well for me with variable gambling income.

The winnings have made life more comfortable. I haven't had to stree=ss to much about purchases - I've built up as decent library, just built a PC Media Centre PC etc.

That should be mortgage (singular (!))

Is there anymore news about the bet with SBG Global or is it a lost cause.

SBG has told other punters they will review the decision after the end of the season. I'm not holding out much hope for them to honour the £14K they will owe me if Button wins (a 1-10 shot).

However I have a few plans...

Chris, I'd love to discuss some strategies with you one day - you seem to hit the nail on the head with the long term bets (always good value selections)

I've laid some off against Ennis for SPOTY. My feeling is that if Button wins the champs, with BBC showing the F1 this year, he should win that.

All the best,
Jason.

Jason, If drop me an email (chris.trinder@gmail.com) with your contact details I'll give you a call.

I am seriously considering laying off at least part of my Ennis bet.
